Where to stay in El Nido
This section has no resort pages yet. That is a decision, not an oversight, and it is worth explaining because it is the same decision that makes the rest of the site trustworthy.
Why there are no nightly rates here
Every other page on this site works because a price can be pinned to a source and a date. Hotel pricing cannot. A room rate in El Nido changes with the season, the day of the week, the booking channel and how full the property is that afternoon. A rate collected on 26 August 2026 would be wrong within a week, and a dated index of a number that moves hourly is worse than no index at all — it looks authoritative and is not.
So this site will not publish nightly rates. The methodology page says so in the same breath as it excludes airfares, for the same reason.
What is actually worth publishing about a place to stay
The durable facts about El Nido accommodation are not prices. They are the things a booking site will not tell you and that do not change month to month:
- Which beach or barangay it is on — the difference between town, Corong-Corong, Lio and Nacpan is the single biggest decision, and it is invisible on a booking page.
- Whether it is reachable by road, or only by boat.
- How far it is from El Nido Beach, where every island-hopping tour departs from.
- Whether it has mains power or runs on a generator, and what hours that generator runs. El Nido has outages. This matters far more than the photographs suggest.
- Whether it is DOT-accredited.
Those are checkable, they stay true, and no one has assembled them in one place. That is the version of this section worth building, and it is the version that would earn a link.
Why it is not built yet
Building it honestly requires a verified list of properties with the fields above — and that list does not exist as a downloadable source. The Department of Tourism's accreditation register is the right backbone for it, but the copies circulating publicly are third-hand and several years stale, and the department's own register was not reachable when this was checked.
Rather than generate a hundred resort pages from a stale scrape and hope, this section waits until there is a list worth standing behind. The rest of the site does not depend on it.
What it needs
- A current DOT accreditation list for El Nido — obtainable from the Municipal Tourism Office in person. This is the piece that unlocks the section, and it is a walk into town rather than a scrape.
- Barangay and beach for each property — mappable once the list exists.
- Power arrangements — the field-verified column that nothing else publishes, and the one that would make these pages worth citing.
In the meantime, the pages that are built are the ones with real data behind them: the four tours, the islands and beaches, the routes in and out, and the Price Index.
